Susan Pikitch Named New Chair of the LPGA Foundation Board

The LPGA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization committed to empowering and supporting girls and women through developmental and humanitarian golf initiatives, has announced Susan Pikitch as the new Chair of the LPGA Foundation Board of Directors. Pikitch is the chief financial officer at the United States Golf Association (USGA).

Thanks to the financial support of the USGA, 30 percent of LPGA*USGA Girls Golf participants receive financial assistance that enables them to participate in the programs, ensuring that all girls have the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits that golf has to offer.

"Susan Pikitch's appointment as chair of the board of the LPGA Foundation symbolizes the powerful synergy between the USGA and the LPGA in advancing the mission to empower girls and women both on and off the golf course,” said Nancy Henderson, President of the LPGA Foundation. “Her leadership exemplifies a commitment to fostering inclusivity and opportunity within the sport, inspiring future generations of female golfers to excel."

“It’s been an honor for me to serve on the LPGA Foundation board, and now be named Chair,” expressed Susan Pikitch. “Golf is a personal and professional passion of mine, as is making the game more welcoming and diverse among those who play it. The LPGA Foundation engages girls and women of all ages and levels with its various program.”

Pikitch became the first chief financial officer of the USGA in 2015, where she contributes strategic, operational and financial leadership critical to the continued evolution and success of the organization. In addition to her financial accountabilities, she oversees the USGA Museum & Library, the USGA Foundation, facilities, information technology and the GHIN platform and golfer app. Among other notable achievements, Pikitch led the turnaround and implementation of the new GHIN technology platform in 2020.

Susan brings decades of diverse experience as a senior financial and operating executive spanning various industries including public accounting, consulting, financial services, media, publishing, and data services.  She spent most of her career serving public, for-profit companies, most notably at Standard & Poor’s/McGraw-Hill. Prior to joining the USGA, Susan was CFO for the Law and Business division of Wolters Kluwer, a leading global provider of solutions and expertise for legal, healthcare and business compliance professionals. At Wolters Kluwer, Pikitch helped transform the business from a traditional print research organization to a more digitally focused company.

Pikitch, a native New Yorker, holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting from Brooklyn College and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
