As Australia’s most remote golf series spanning an epic 1,600 kilometres across Queensland’s Outback, amateur golfers and travellers are being encouraged to adventure west of the Great Divide during June and July in 2021.
A six part golf series, the Outback Queensland Masters is staged at local golf clubs in Outback townships from Biloela and the sandstone wonders through to the channel country of Charleville, Quilpie and onto Blackall, Hughenden and the heart of the outback, Longreach, for the 2021 million dollar hole in one!
The event is presented by Golf Australia in partnership with Tourism & Events Queensland and six local councils in
Outback Queensland. The program kicks off with breakfast on the Saturday morning at the local respective golf club, followed by the
official tee off.
The competition includes 9 holes each day for Saturday and Sunday with breakfast and lunch included on both days. Saturday evening is dinner under the stars of the Milky Way with award winning performers from comedy to cabaret to multi-piece bands. The tournament culminates in Longreach for a three day event over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with tee off on the Friday and the dinner under the stars and full days of golf Friday and Saturday. The tournament culminates on the Sunday with the million dollar hole in one.
To compete in the Million Dollar Hole-in-One, you must first have competed in two previous locations. The inaugural Outback Queensland Masters in 2019 attracted competitors and spectators from all over Australia, some travelling from as far away as South Australia and Tasmania to compete. Numbers are capped at each location to ensure a quality experience for all participants and spectators.
Player and spectator passes are available via the www.outbackqldmasters.com Passes include; breakfasts, lunches and dinner under the stars with award winning performers.
